Data on activity and other field data is included in the annual Energy in New Zealand publication, which provides information on and analysis of New Zealand’s energy sector including statistics on supply, transformation, and demand.

Timing of next release

We plan to release NZ petroleum reserves as of 1 January 2021 in mid-2021. We will publish the oil and gas production profiles, remaining reserves and contingent resources, all by field.

The timing of the release will be announced in our release calendar.

In the Energy in NZ 2020 publication, we will include the full range of statistics on deliverability and activity. This is due to be published in August 2020.
