Catalyst: Strategic New Zealand –Korea 2025 Joint Research Partnerships Programme Call for Proposals

Proposals are invited for joint research partnerships in the topic of quantum communication between research organisations in New Zealand and the Republic of Korea (Korea).

The New Zealand – Korea Joint Research Partnerships Programme is a triennial funding programme that facilitates bilateral science, research and innovation collaborations between New Zealand and Korean researchers. It is a bilateral funding initiative with the Korean Ministry of Science and ICT and the National Research Foundation of Korea (NRF).

Available funding

New Zealand and Korea have agreed to fund up to 3 joint research projects in the topic of quantum communication through the 2025 funding round. New Zealand research teams are able to apply for up to $450,000 (exclusive of GST) over a duration up to 3 years, with their Korean partners applying for their own funding through the NRF.

How to apply

Applications must be made by 31 October through the Dodd-Walls Centre for Photonic and Quantum Technologies who are administering the call for proposals on behalf of MBIE.
