Regional Tourism Estimates
The Regional Tourism Estimates (RTEs) provided regional stakeholders with absolute dollar estimates of tourism expenditure at a detailed regional level.

Tourism Electronic Card Transactions (TECTs)
Following COVID 19–related data disruptions, MBIE introduced the Tourism Electronic Card Transactions (TECT) as an interim replacement for the Monthly Regional Tourism Estimates (MRTEs, 2016–2020). This page presents the historical TECT series produced between 2020 and 2023.
