What we do
The Government Property Office (GPO) supports MBIE’s Chief Executive in their role as System leader for government property.
We set the strategic direction for and manage the government’s office portfolio.
The GPO can advise and support agencies with:
- office planning and management
- commercial advisory and lease negotiations
- building performance and workplace design standards, tools and templates
- exploring opportunities to co-locate with other agencies
- property research, data and insights.
We also manage the Government Property Portal, a central platform for property data and insights to support property planning and decision-making.
