Register of Participants

The Register of Participants is the official list of companies included in the Consumer Data Right (CDR) framework, under the Customer and Product Data Act 2025. The Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) manages and updates the register as the CDR Regulator.

What the register includes

  • Organisations that will share data (data holders)
  • Organisations accredited to request data or make payments on behalf of customers (accredited requestors).

Benefits of using the register

The Register helps you:

  • Confirm which organisations are participating in the CDR framework.
  • Understand each participant’s role for example data holder or accredited requestor.
  • Find contact details and complaints information.

Information available in the register

The Register provides the following details:

  • Organisation name and New Zealand Business Number (NZBN).
  • Any trading names the organisation uses.
  • The CDR designated sector the organisation is a participant of.
  • Role under CDR (data holder or accredited requestor, or both).
  • Designation (currently only banking and deposit taking; more sectors coming).
  • Contact details.
  • Complaints process.
