About the report
The Snapshot presents key statistics on:
- Employment
- Unemployment
- NEET – Youth Not in Employment, Education or Training
- Māori and Pacific Peoples
The Snapshot is provided to Ministers within a day of each new release of the Labour Market Statistics, published by Stats NZ every November, February, May and August. It is then published here shortly after. The Snapshot was first produced for June 2019 data. Previously, Ministers were provided with the Quarterly Labour Market Scorecard, which has now been discontinued.
