The New Zealand Space Agency sponsors the New Zealand Space Scholarship for post-graduate students who have compatible research interests to participate in internship programmes at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) and at NASA’s Ames Research Center.

2024 scholarship recipients
Six tertiary students were selected to work on NASA projects in the US, interning at JPL and at NASA’s Ames Research Center.
The 2024 cohort is the second group of Kiwi students selected to undertake in-person internships at JPL and the third cohort to undertake internships at Ames.

2019 scholarship recipients
Over 200 applications were submitted to the New Zealand Space Agency’s call for the 2019 NASA International Internship Programme at the Ames Research Center. From these, 7 interns were selected to complete internships.
