To really understand how the system works, we have cast the net wide in terms of the materials we have reviewed and the people we have engaged with.

Face to face interpreting service

MBIE has established a new national model for agencies to access face to face interpreting services more effectively and efficiently across New Zealand.

Aotearoa New Zealand’s natural environment is important to the country’s sense of identity and has great cultural and recreational significance. It also supports much economic activity.

Industry Transformation Plans

The Government committed to stopping ITPs as part of the National-Act Coalition Agreement and its 100-Day Plan. ITPs were developed for 8 sectors: Advanced Manufacturing, Agritech, Construction, Digital Technologies, Fisheries, Food and Beverage, Forestry and Wood Processing and Tourism. Work on Industry Transformation Plans has stopped, and the Government’s commitment completed.

Research, Science and Innovation (RSI) Workforce Surveys

MBIE conducted 2 surveys to collect information about our RSI workforce. The surveys were designed to better understand the demographic characteristics, skills and workplace practices of people who contribute to our RSI system as well as the challenges they face.
