Associate Housing Minister Tama Potaka has announced that the Temporary Accommodation Service (TAS) in the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) activated at 12:00pm on Friday 11 July to offer support to households displaced by the recent severe weather event in Tasman and Nelson regions.

The Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) – Hīkina Whakatutuki, Ngāti Hinemanu, Ngāi Upokoiri me ōna Piringa Hapū Authority Trust, Ōmāhu Marae and Ngāti Kahungunu Iwi Incorporated have partnered together to deliver temporary accommodation for whānau displaced due to Cyclone Gabrielle.

The Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment’s (MBIE) Temporary Accommodation Service (TAS) has been activated today for the 20 May Levin tornado, and is currently accepting registrations from displaced residents who need assistance finding temporary accommodation.
