Tēnei tūranga – About the role
The Marketing Advisor role is responsible for the delivery of online, above and below the line marketing campaigns, design and multi-media briefs, product and service development, and research in the information and Education Digital Team within the Experience and Engagement branch. This position help the various MBIE regulator to inform and educate diverse target markets about their rights and obligation in various regulatory systems and in particular migrants being exploited in their workplace. The position holder will bring their marketing, online, project and supplier management experience to work in partnership with other team members, stakeholders and communications staff.

Personal specifications
- Excellent communications skills, in particular experience in writing briefs, marketing and procurement plans, educational articles, webpages, video scripts, and other documents.
- Proven marketing experience across owned, earned and paid media.
- Good understanding of marketing and experience with channel a management and how to measure successes.
- Strong project management and administrative experience, for example creating timelines, reporting and research.
- Experience in producing videos and webinars.
- Experience in undertaking or managing market research.
- Excellent time and work management skills, able to manage multiple projects and changing priorities.
- Excellent relationship building skills, working with internal clients and external stakeholders including suppliers. Personal attributes and qualifications.
Personal attributes and qualifications
- A minimum of three years’ experience working in a marketing position.
- Good understanding of social media.
- Positive ‘can-do’ attitude – the ability to work through problems and challenges.
- Self-motivation and drive – takes pride in their work and has a desire to learn, grow and improve.
- Good time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
- Collaborative and team-first mind-set – working alongside other Experience and Engagements teams, in particular the Engagement teams and the other migrants exploitation staff. This requires a mentality of doing what’s best for the team to ensure we can meet the expectations of our clients.
- A tertiary education is preferable.
Takohanga tuhinga o mua – Key accountabilities and deliverables
Account management and Marketing
- Leading or supporting marketing campaigns.
- Managing a portfolio of clients to service their communications and marketing needs.
- Supporting team members with their work and portfolios as required.
- Working with media partners directly (i.e. print) or commissioning them (i.e. advertising agency).
- Working with our suppliers for the creation and delivery of publications or promotional collateral.
- Developing products and services that inform and educate our target market e.g. videos, seminars, etc.
- Undervalue procurement and tender initiatives as required.
- Write copy (e.g. educational articles that help the targeted market understand their rights and obligations).
Social media management
- Developing website content.
- Developing social media calendars (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram).
- Managing content social media channels.
- Managing social media advertising (with Sprout social, experience with similar tools is preferable but training will be provided).
Project management
- Developing project plans.
- Managing or contributing to projects.
- Developing marketing and communications plans.
- Manage research projects.
Wellbeing, health & safety
- Displays commitment through actively supporting all safety and wellbeing initiatives.
- Ensures own and others safety at all times.
- Complies with relevant safety and wellbeing policies, procedures, safe systems of work and event reporting.
- Reports all incidents/accidents, including near misses in a timely fashion.
- Is involved in health and safety through participation and consultation.
