The Government is investing more than $800,000 to repair 3 Great Ride cycle trails following significant storm damage so they can remain safe and attractive activities for locals and visitors.
The experimental Modelled Territorial Authority Gross Domestic Product (MTAGDP) allocates GDP values to second-tier local government administrative boundaries—namely, territorial authorities—based on Stats NZ’s Regional GDP estimates.
In February 2025, the Government launched Going for Growth, its approach to make the New Zealand economy grow faster, to increase living standards and opportunities for all New Zealanders.
The project looked at how climate change may impact New Zealand’s land-based primary industries and regional economies through to 2050/2100.
