The Government’s Temporary Accommodation Service (TAS) has been activated today to support people displaced by the July weather event sequence affecting Kaikōura, Blenheim, and Wairoa.
The Government has confirmed the transfer of 11 temporary accommodation homes at Ōmāhu Marae in Hawke’s Bay to the Ōmāhu 2R Māori Reservation and Ngāti Hinemanu, Ngāi Te Upokoiri me ōna Piringa Hapū Trust.

The Temporary Accommodation Service (TAS) in the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) is accepting registrations to support people displaced by recent severe weather events, including the latest events in Manawatū-Whanganui, Ōtorohanga, Waipā, Banks Peninsula and Wellington.
Associate Housing Minister Tama Potaka has announced that the Temporary Accommodation Service (TAS) in the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) activated at 12:00pm on Friday 11 July to offer support to households displaced by the recent severe weather event in Tasman and Nelson regions.
