Consultation on the Long-term Insights Briefing on youth at risk of limited employment
This page describes the regulatory system for health and safety at work, its objectives and our qualitative assessment of it. It also lists the main statutes and regulatory proposals either planned or in progress.
New Zealand has a flexible labour market, high rates of employment, relatively open borders and, historically, a well-performing education system. However, the country faces significant challenges: school achievement and attendance are dropping in comparison with countries New Zealand competes with, and we face challenges in attracting, training and retaining talent.
Stream Two has up to $9.939 million available for allocation. Expressions of Interest closed on 1 September 2023. Full Applications must be received by 15 December 2023.
Outlines the Government’s overarching goals for tourism, including delivering economic value, creating employment, supporting regional prosperity, protecting natural and cultural assets, maintaining public confidence and enriching the lives of those who visit and live here.
