Hydrogen hubs for advanced aviation

Innovative Partnerships commissioned consulting firm Arup to undertake a scoping report on the feasibility of placing a pilot hydrogen hub at an airport for trialling hydrogen for advanced aviation in New Zealand. This would be a first step towards research and development of hydrogen as a low carbon fuel for the aviation sector.

This work supports the government’s initiatives to decarbonise industries to enable it to meet its climate goals of net zero emissions by 2050.
