The Tribunal includes an independent, funded mediation service provided by the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE), which is experienced in delivering mediation across a range of disciplines including employment, housing and tenancy.
Mediation is a confidential settlement discussion and provides parties with an opportunity to find a mutually acceptable resolution to a disputed claim.

The Greater Christchurch Claims Resolution Service (GCCRS) is another free service available to homeowners and provides an independent pathway to help resolve claims. GCCRS can also help with the application to the Tribunal and provide support throughout the process.
