Summer events get financial backing

A new financial support scheme will allow organisers of large-scale events to forge ahead with their planning this summer.

The Events Transition Support Payment will cover 90% of eligible unrecoverable costs for paid, ticketed events with over 5000 attendees if organisers are forced to cancel or postpone an event due to COVID-19 public health measures.
Events must be scheduled to begin between 17 December 2021 and 3 April 2022 to be eligible for the payment.
