From yacht racing in the Bay of Islands to culinary experiences in Wellington, Matariki celebrations in Rotorua, and running festivals in Tekapo and Nelson Tasman, the events will showcase New Zealand’s culture, landscapes and innovation.
Running from May to December, they are expected to draw visitors, boost tourism and deliver economic benefits for local communities.
The funding will help existing events grow and introduce new features designed to attract more participants and visitors. It comes from the Events Boost Fund, part of the Government’s Major Events and Tourism package.
