Once the consultation has closed at 5pm on 17 May 2023, we will use the suggestions submitted, alongside the ILO’s List and Safe Work Australia’s Revised Deemed Diseases List, and any others identified, to inform proposals for additions to the list of occupational diseases.

Updating Accident Compensation Review Costs Regulations
On behalf of the Minister for ACC, the Ministry of Business, Innovation & Employment is consulting on the Minister’s proposal to increase the amounts, prescribed by regulation, that ACC is liable to pay towards the cost of rehabilitation.

A proposed review framework for the list of occupational diseases in the Accident Compensation Act (2001)
On behalf of the Minister for ACC, the Ministry of Business, Innovation & Employment is consulting on the Minister’s proposal to increase the amounts, prescribed by regulation, that ACC is liable to pay towards the cost of rehabilitation. These payment rates apply where ACC does not have contracts with treatment providers, and includes rates for consultations, treatments, imaging and devices.
