Auckland University of Technology is receiving Smart Ideas funding for the following projects.

University of Waikato is receiving Research Programmes funding for the following projects.

Updated 20 July 2025 This update highlights the critical role infrastructure needs to play in growing New Zealand’s economy. Good roads, schools, hospitals and other forms of infrastructure are essential in the modern world. Between now and the end of the year, $6 billion of government-funded construction projects are getting underway. They will not only improve infrastructure but create and sustain jobs from Northland to Southland.
