First report into the state of the electricity sector

The Electricity Price Review are seeking submissions from the public and industry on their first report into the state of the electricity sector.

An updated version of the report and technical paper were issued on 5 October 2018.

Although we are not seeking submissions on the Analysis of Retailer billing data paper, we welcome feedback stakeholders may have, including on how the analysis can be extended or refined by Wednesday 14 November 2018.

Analysis of the data continues. Stakeholders will have a further opportunity to comment on the results later in the review.

Submissions

On 11 September 2018, the Electricity Price Review released its first report on the current state of the electricity market and the panel's preliminary findings.

The consultation closed on 23 October 2018.

We received a total of 107 submissions. These represent the views of a wide range of individuals, businesses and industry bodies. Redactions have been made in accordance with the Official Information Act 1982 and the Privacy Act 1993 and when content may be defamatory or commercially sensitive.
