On 17 June 2019 Cabinet made policy decisions on regulations to support measures to address the misuse of the Financial Service Providers Register.
On 10 April 2018, the Minister of Commerce and Consumer Affairs released a discussion paper that sought feedback on proposed regulations to support measures in the Financial Services Legislation Amendment Act in relation to addressing misuse of the Financial Service Providers Register.
Consultation closed on 15 May 2018.
