Coordinated approach to supporting hospitality sector

Published: 09 September 2026

The Government will develop a Hospitality Action Plan. It will cover priority actions from the Hospitality Regulatory Review, the industry’s own Hospitality Summit Report, and related work already underway across agencies.

Relevant Ministers will consider and progress the Government’s response to the 24 recommendations made in the regulatory review report within their individual portfolios while the Hospitality Action Plan will support coordination across agencies by aligning activity, reducing duplication, monitoring progress and maintaining momentum across the Government's hospitality-related work programme.

Better coordination and visibility will help ensure government efforts are focused on addressing the issues that will have the greatest impact.
