Brave in Business e-Learning series launched for small businesses

Published: 24 May 2023

Business.govt.nz in partnership with Spark Business Lab have launched the Brave in Business e-Learning series to help the owners and operators of small firms improve their mental health and wellbeing.

The launch event at Spark City heard from speakers including Minister for Small Business, Ginny Andersen, along with MBIE’s Head of Small Business, Tui Rutherford, and Spark’s Consumer and SME Channels Lead, Greg Clark.

The series has two courses featuring three short videos, and a check-in survey. The resources and tools are all practical with easy-to-follow advice written by two of New Zealand’s top organisational psychologists from the Institute of Organisational Psychology.

The courses are designed to help small business owners manage their time and the demand of their businesses more effectively. This means they can enjoy the time they have when they are not working on their business. Course topics include how to prioritise for success and how to take control when overwhelmed.
