Update to the Telephone and Video Interpreting Panel

In July 2023, MBIE decided to establish a panel of telephone and video interpreting service providers to ensure that there is a range of interpreters and languages available to meet the needs of people throughout the country and provide business continuity for New Zealand government.

Proposed changes to immigration policy settings: Suite of proposed changes to the Essential Skills visa

We are consulting on proposed changes to temporary work visa settings, through the Essential Skills visa policy. The focus of this review is to manage the settlement expectations of lower-skilled migrants who have no pathway to residence, and reinforce the temporary nature of the Essential Skills visa.
