Aotearoa New Zealand’s tourism industry was greatly impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. The government provided broad-based and targeted support to the industry during the pandemic. You can read about the support we provided at the links below.

Aotearoa New Zealand’s natural environment is important to the country’s sense of identity and has great cultural and recreational significance. It is essential to the economy and our way of life.
The Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) consulted on a draft Minerals Strategy for New Zealand to 2040 in mid-2024 to set a strategic framework for responsible mineral production in New Zealand. A summary of submissions was released in September 2024.
