3 new future-focused science organisations, formed by merging and refocusing New Zealand’s 7 Crown Research Institutes, have been in place since 1 July 2025. These organisations will concentrate on key areas of national importance to deliver a science system that is more connected, more commercially focused, and better aligned with the needs of New Zealand.
A further 3 students from the same round were chosen for the Autumn NASA Internship period from September to December 2019, and given prestigious New Zealand Space Scholarships to attend. Follow the video journeys of their unique projects and experiences there.
This evaluation focused on two key evaluation questions, with a range of sub-questions:

The Endeavour Fund invests in excellent science with the potential to positively impact New Zealand’s economy, environment and society. Invited contract holders will be able to submit a proposal for a contract extension in the 2026 Contract Extension Round.
