Update to the Telephone and Video Interpreting Panel

Published: 06 March 2025

In July 2023, MBIE decided to establish a panel of telephone and video interpreting service providers to ensure that there is a range of interpreters and languages available to meet the needs of people throughout the country and provide business continuity for New Zealand government.

MBIE has now completed the procurement process and have established a panel of three telephone and video interpreting providers, which offer the necessary capacity, capability, and expertise to deliver world-class telephone and video interpreting services to participating agencies.

The Panel Providers are:

  • 2M Language Services
  • All Graduates Interpreting and Translating (Frontline Business Services Limited Partnership)
  • Connecting Now

Participating agencies have been sent a Buyer’s Guide which provides extensive detail regarding what each provider can offer, and their pricing.

All agencies with a current agreement must sign on to a new Participating Agency Agreement (PAA).

If agencies wish to keep working with the current provider, Connecting Now, they will need to sign a new agreement with Connecting Now. The existing agreement expires on 31 March 2025, so to maintain telephone and video interpreting services without interruption, it’s important to sign a PAA with at least one panel provider before this deadline.

Agencies may also wish to sign a PAA with one or both of the new providers whether or not you sign a new agreement with Connecting Now.
