Submissions closed: 14 September 2022, 5pm

The Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) is seeking feedback on the draft Better Work Action Plan on behalf of the Tourism Industry Transformation Plan Leadership Group.

We are seeking your feedback on the draft Action Plan to understand:

  • Which Tirohanga Hou (actions) in the draft Action Plan are most important
  • How the Tirohanga Hou (actions) should be prioritised
  • Whether anything critical has been left out of the draft Action Plan

We also want to hear any other comments you may wish to make on the draft Action Plan.

We have created a short survey to make it easy for you to submit your feedback.

You can also share your views by attending an in-person or online workshop.

In-person workshops

A series of in-person workshops on the draft Action Plan will be held throughout August and September 2022. Some of these are focused on tourism employees only. If you would like to check whether you can come to a particular workshop, please email TourismITP@mbie.govt.nz

We acknowledge that it can be difficult for employees to make these workshops.  Therefore, to thank all employees who participate in either the in-person or online workshops for their time, we will provide a $50 supermarket card.

What happens next?

MBIE and the Leadership Group will consider and process submissions and feedback received.  A summary of the feedback we receive from survey responses, workshops and submissions will be published on our website.

The Leadership Group’s goal is to release the final Action Plan before the end of 2022. It will then be up to all of us in tourism to work towards a strong future together.
