Prime Minister's Space Prizes
The Government has established 2 new awards to recognise the talented people working in New Zealand's space and emerging aviation sectors and inspire young people.
On this page
The annual Prime Minister’s Space Prizes will include an award for a professional working in a space-related field, recognising their outstanding achievements and contribution to the sector, which will be worth $100,000.
There will also be an annual award aimed at students in Years 12-13, helping to inspire the next generation of innovative, talented people to become interested in and pursue a career in space.
Recipients of the inaugural awards are expected to be announced before the end of the year. MBIE is finalising further details and more information will be available soon.
