Tēnei tūranga – About the role

The Manager, eInvoicing Adoption is responsible for growing adoption of e-Invoicing in New Zealand by building relationships with organisations who will use and influence the use of eInvoicing. As part of the e-Invoicing leadership team, the Manager, eInvoicing Adoption is responsible for developing and supporting the overall strategy, capability and delivery of the team.

This will be achieved:

  • Developing strategies on how best to get organisations to realise the benefits of eInvoicing.
  • Engaging with influential organisations and businesses to encourage and assist them to adopt eInvoicing.
  • Working with external organisations including the Australian Taxation Office, OpenPeppol, and other government agencies.
  • Reporting the status and success of eInvoicing adoption to key stakeholders including the General Manager eInvoicing, MBIE CFO, and the Minister for Small Business.
  • Focusing on the Government, large business and small and medium enterprise (SME) sectors.
  • Ensuring that eProcurement is appropriately promoted, especially as eInvoicing gains momentum.
  • Being organised and delivery focused.
  • Contributing to making the eInvoicing Team effective and highly engaged.
  • Participating in the eInvoicing Leadership Team through setting strategy, building capability, and delivering.

Personal specifications

Skills and experience: 

  • An understanding of the business customer perspective and how to communicate effectively with organisations to achieve the benefits eInvoicing and eventually eProcurement can provide.
  • Influencing skills to achieve effective outcomes when working in a large organisation and across multiple businesses and agencies.
  • Experience working with finance systems and processes at a senior level.
  • Experience in designing and delivering transformational change initiatives.
  • A strong conceptual thinker.
  • Has a track record of being organised and a skilled planner.
  • Experience in engaging commercial stakeholders.
  • Ability to quickly establish and build strong working relationships.
  • Experience working with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Understanding of Government decision-making and operating procedures.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining an environment focused on continuous improvement to enhance organisational performance.

Qualifications

  • Relevant tertiary qualification and/or extensive and comparable relevant experience.
  • To be considered for this position you must have a legal right to live and work in New Zealand.
