Tēnei Tūranga – About the role

The Regional Business Partner Network - Claims Administrator is a role within the Regional Business Partner (RBP) Network team which reconciles invoices and purchase orders under the RBP Funding Schemes, receives and responds to queries from service providers regarding claims, works with finance teams to ensure invoices are correct and any claims issues are resolved in a timely manner.

The RBP Network - Claims Administrator will work closely with the wider team and service providers.

Skills and experience

  • Experience in accounts payable type role or similar, reconciling invoices and resolving purchase order issues.
  • Ability to engage and correspond effectively with providers. This requires empathy and confidence in dealing with difficult situation situations from time to time.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, demonstrated experience and ability to understand and process complex situations with precise attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to develop trust and credibility with partners and within their own team.
  • Ability to work to timelines and to prioritise competing commitments if needed.
  • Strong numerical ability and attention to detail.
  • Ability to quickly establish and build strong working relationships.
  • Ability to work well in team environments, collaborate with all levels.

Critical areas of success

  • Reconcile service provider claim invoices accurately within the Regional Business Partner Platform and forward them on for processing and payment within 10 business days
  • Ensure invoices are accurate and all information required for payment is included.
  • Work with finance to resolve any service provider claims issues that arise.
  • Identify areas for improvement, and provide support as required.
  • Provide support to Service Providers regarding claims enquires received via email and phone.
  • Understand the small business audience and put them at the centre of what we do.
  • Have great attention to detail and communication skills.

The Accounts Reconciliation Administrator position reports into the Manager, Regional Business Partners Network, Small Business Services, within the Business and Consumer branch. The branch sits within the Te Whakatairanga Service Delivery group.
