Government has allocated $3 billion, over three years, to enhance economic development opportunities in regional New Zealand. This is further supported by a commitment to improve employment outcomes across Aotearoa.
The Provincial Development Unit (PDU) has been established to support delivery of these commitments by working across government and with industry, communities, iwi and local government through three programmes: PGF, He Poutama Rangatahi and the Sector Workforce Engagement Programme.
