A new ministerial advisory group for housing and urban development has been established.
The New Zealand Housing and Construction Quarterly (NZHCQ) analyses sector trends in the building, construction and housing sectors. The NZHCQ report brings together information Statistics New Zealand, Quotable Value, and MBIE to provide a comprehensive picture of the sector for the quarter.

Using household-level data from the Statistics New Zealand Integrated Data Infrastructure (IDI), The Housing Affordability Measure is a new approach to measuring housing affordability. First released on 10 May 2017 this measure provides a picture of shifts in affordability, broken down by region and territorial authority (and by ward in Auckland).
Download of housing indicators data created as part of the National Policy Statement on Urban Development Capacity (NPS-UDC). The NPS-UDC was developed by the Ministry for the Environment and the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment.
