This section has a primary focus on forecasts (to 2028) that provide an indication of the skills required to fill the future workforce needs for each of CARE Regional Skills Leadership Groups (RSLG) 10 focus sectors.

This picture is created by looking at:
- the size of the workforce (number of workers)
- predicted job openings (brand new jobs and replacement workers)
- the corresponding qualifications needed to fill new job openings (Level 1 to Level 7).
This is compared to a snapshot of the workforce picture (2022). The predicted need does not include upskilling requirements of existing kaimahi in the sector, and therefore the demand is likely to be underestimated.
