He Tupu Ōhanga: Commercial Advisors Scheme

He Tupu Ōhanga: The Commercial Advisors' Scheme is funded through Te Pūnaha Hiringa Māori Innovation Fund. It enables Māori collectives to work with a commercial advisor for up to 18 months.

The Commerical Advisors Scheme

The He Tupu Ōhanga: Commercial Advisors Scheme (CAS) is funded through Te Pūnaha Hiringa: Māori Innovation Fund and supports initiatives that contribute towards achieving the goals and priorities in He kai kei aku ringa.

Successful Māori collectives are funded up to $60,000 to work with a commercial advisor for up to 18 months. A minimum of $1m is available to be awarded.

The commercial advisors offer professional business advice and mentoring to collectives that are working on business development projects aimed at realising the commercial value of their assets.

Who is eligible for CAS funding?

CAS is open to Māori collectives, including trusts, incorporations and post-settlement governance entities. Coalitions of collectives are also able to apply.
