He Tupu Ōhanga: Commercial Advisors Scheme
He Tupu Ōhanga: The Commercial Advisors' Scheme is funded through Te Pūnaha Hiringa Māori Innovation Fund. It enables Māori collectives to work with a commercial advisor for up to 18 months.
The Commercial Advisors Scheme
The He Tupu Ōhanga: Commercial Advisors Scheme (CAS) is funded through Te Pūnaha Hiringa: Māori Innovation Fund and supports initiatives that contribute towards achieving the goals and priorities in He kai kei aku ringa.
Successful Māori collectives are funded up to $60,000 to work with a commercial advisor for up to 18 months.
The Commercial Advisors offer professional business advice and mentoring to collectives/coalitions that are working on a wide range of projects of commercial development, from initial options analyses and feasibility studies, through to business case development, strategic planning, or market analysis and expansion.
In 2019 we are encouraging collectives/coalitions to think about how they can prepare for a future economy that will look very different than it is today. These include new technologies, globalisation and demographic shifts, which will have impacts on the ways New Zealanders work and the jobs they do.
