Tourism Infrastructure Fund opens on 11 April

The seventh round of the Tourism Infrastructure Fund (TIF) opens on 11 April 2023. MBIE welcomes applications from all local territorial authorities, and not-for profit community organisations that demonstrate support from their local council that address infrastructure needs related to tourism.

Funding will continue to prioritise projects that demonstrate the need for additional visitor-related public infrastructure but will also prioritise those areas that have been affected by recent extreme weather events.
Since 2017 the TIF has funded more than 200 projects totalling $91.3 million at popular visitor destinations around the country. These projects have helped regions manage pressures brought by an increase in tourism and improved the quality of life for residents and visitors alike.
Applications are open to all councils from 11 April 2023 and close on 8 May 2023.
