NZSL Video Interpreting Service now available at weekends

Published: 01 July 2019

The Video Interpreting Service, which allows people using New Zealand Sign Language (NZSL) to phone others by using a NZSL interpreter, is now available at weekends.

In April the Government announced an extension to the NZSL Video Interpreting Service, which provides an interpreter who translates to others on the phone or in person.

This service was previously available from 8am to 8pm on weekdays, but from today it can also be accessed on weekends (10am – 5pm Saturday and 12pm – 5pm Sunday) and public holidays.

Find out more about the Video Interpreting Service, including a full list of the hours the service is available.
