MBIE commissioned review of the Crown Research Institutes has been released
Published: 10 July 2020
The Te Pae Kahurangi Report was commissioned by MBIE to present an independent view of the role that Crown Research Institutes (CRIs) can and should play in meeting New Zealand’s current and future needs.
The report has made a range of findings and recommendations that after due consideration will inform MBIE’s post-election advice for the incoming government. MBIE will engage with CRIs and other key stakeholders in forming that advice.
CRIs and the work they do play a significant role in many aspects of our lives and will be crucial in our post COVID-19 economic rebuild. The Report reaffirms that, and also provides suggestions to ensure that CRIs collectively are well placed to continue that great work they do into the future.
