$12 million to improve visitor experiences across Aotearoa

The government has announced the funding recipients from round three of the Tourism Infrastructure Fund.
$12 million is being invested in projects that will support regions to develop and enhance critical tourism-related infrastructure.
34 projects and 6 feasibility studies are being co-funded across 25 councils, and include upgraded water treatment and waste management facilities, wifi ready solar powered rubbish bins, car parks, toilets and improved camping facilities.
The Tourism Infrastructure Fund provides up to $25 million annually and across three funding rounds, $45.8 million has been invested in 120 projects.
