IT, Communications & Broadband
Information and communications technologies could enhance innovation and productivity across the economy. To realise this potential, we work to ensure that telecommunications markets operate efficiently, and the commerce and ICT infrastructure is well developed.
We hold a range of responsibilities relating to the communications sector.
Faster broadband is coming. The Government is making a $2 billion investment on behalf of all New Zealanders into major initiatives that will deliver faster, better internet and broadband: the Ultra-Fast Broadband (UFB) Initiative, the Rural Broadband Initiative (RBI) and the Mobile Black Spot Fund (MBSF).
