Research partnerships

The Partnerships programme supports high-quality research aimed at increasing the competitiveness of New Zealand industries. It strengthens ties between research organisations and research users, particularly industry, by providing funding for them to establish a long-term research programme. Partnership members determine the research they will undertake, so the research will be driven by the industry's needs.

Partnerships paused

The Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment has paused the Partnerships mechanism while a focused review of the mechanism is underway. The focused review will check alignment with the strategic direction of the recently released National Statement of Science Investment and other current funding mechanisms. The review is expected to conclude mid-2016.
