Summary

The Our Land and Water National Science Challenge aims to enhance the production and productivity of New Zealand’s primary sector, while maintaining and improving the quality of the country’s land and water for future generations.

The way New Zealand uses and manages its land and water will be transformed by Challenge research on gaining greater value from global markets, innovative resilient land and water use, and building collaborative capacity.

These drivers, along with research to connect them, form the themes that focus the Challenge’s multi-disciplinary approach that includes research expertise from a wide range of organisations.

Challenge objective

To enhance primary sector production and productivity while maintaining and improving our land and water quality for future generations.
